DIY Map Coasters:
Coasters are not only useful but they can also be an expression of your personal style.
This project is fun and easy. Technically you can use anything- scrapbook paper, pages from a book or newspaper articles – for your coaster. In this case, I cut out portions of the entire map of Missouri.
You only need five items for this project:
- Modge Podge
- Paint brush
What to do:
- First, stop by your local home improvement store and find four blank square tiles. I bought these for only 16 cents each!
- Then cut out square pieces of the map to fit the tile.
- Apply Modge Podge with a paint brush to the tile, then adhere the square piece of the map to the tile. Apply more Modge Podge on top so it can act as a sealant. Be sure to make sure the paper is applied evenly so there is not any bubbles or creases in the map.
- Let the coasters dry and you are ready to use your new project!

I was taught to love Jesus, love others and to treat others as I want to be treated. I prefer sweet tea to wine and can quote ‘Steel Magnolias’ at the drop of a hat. At my day job, I’m a writer for a Lake Media— I take photos, edit videos, and manage a website and social media and more. When I’m not working, I have several other passions. I enjoy everything from painting, crafting, cooking, party planning, working out, spending time with friends and family, volunteering and more. Visit Spree’s blog: Southern Ambitions Designs.
